So my awesome friend Carla (http://superforest.org/) told me about this project. The Save-A-Seed Coalition is spreading the word about the Millennium Seed Bank. The Millennium Seed Bank seeks to develop a global conservation network, capable of safeguarding wild plant species. All life on Earth depends on plants. So saving seeds saves plants that are vital to all ecosystems. It is thought that 60,000 to 100,000 plant species are under threat and the Millennium Seed Bank provides an insurance policy against the extinction of plants in the wild and provides options for their future use. Plants are essential for food, medicine, fuels, building materials and many other products. Saving seeds is important for the conservation and future utilization of many plants. This project is funded through public donations so the next time you feel like doing a good deed, donate to this amazing project. And, if you're a blogger, blog about this project and send your blog post over the the Save-A-Seed Coalition at Superforest.org.
